Lodging room during first Jerusalem visit
When I returned from my first of two trips to Jerusalem and around, I couldn’t speak of the trip for a month. I was quiet and I was processing. I still am.
I met a woman of God, who when she spoke of God or read His word, my heart burned. She was just about to be told by God that she would start a church there in that area. I just received word that the church she established has been threatened. I feel in praying that God showed me that he raised a thick wall like the wall around David’s city and a hedge of protection around the church. It reminded me of an incident that occurred while I was touring the Holy City.
A young man appeared as I was seeking my way somewhere in Jerusalem. Maybe an internet café. He offered to lead me there and I accepted. He knew I was wearing a cross and said I should not fear, I should take it out and wear it and not hide it. Along the journey he had taken my hand to lead me and I liken this to when in the bible an angel takes the prophets or subjects by the hand to lead them to a vision or destination. Along the way he explained that he had been orphaned early in his life, he had lost both of his parents in the war that was taking place. I asked how he managed to be so full of love after such a horrible experience. He held his hand to his heart and said that the people who had taken him in had shown him such love he could not have any hate. He had forgiven the incident or the people. I was astonished. As we approached our destination I became uneasy about him holding my hand, I became aware again of how I heard that older middle aged women, even those on pilgrimages, were known sometimes to have exploited the young local men and I shook off his hand politely but awkwardly out of propriety and a sense of not misleading or exploiting him. Shortly after we reached the destination he encouraged me again not to be afraid and to wear my cross openly. I always asked myself whether he was an angel but today I realize that even, were he human, he was led by the Holy Spirit and God’s love filled him as he shared God’s message and guided me.
I am not sure who he was, yet I am reassured, he is among the army of God walking that city.

And then, after jotting this down, I followed the link in her message to this video..
